The disbursement of grants to Social Relief of Distress (SRD) recipients occurs, after which all other grants are distributed which is on 26-31 September 2024.
Note: It is unnecessary to hasten cash withdrawal on the initial day. Once the funds are deposited into the account, they will remain available until required. Other beneficiaries are still able to collect their payments at South African Post Office branches, except those receiving the SRD grant.
In September 2024, the distribution of Sassa grants will commence on the second day of the month. However, recipients of a different grant will need to wait several additional days for their payments, as Sassa does not process grant disbursements on weekends.
